What does a bot actually do?
A Polymarket trading bot is software that monitors markets and submits orders according to a set of rules. Those rules may include the assets to follow, entry conditions, order size and when the strategy is allowed to operate.
Automation can carry out a process consistently. It cannot ensure that a prediction will be correct, that an order will fill or that a strategy will remain profitable. Market prices, available liquidity and execution costs still matter.
A preset is a starting configuration
In the PolyRust walkthrough, you choose a bot and review its configuration before switching it on. The available controls include the assets to trade and capital per entry. PRO provides additional presets and controls, including Meta WIN and Stop Loss.
A preset should be evaluated against the actual market and your available balance. A setting that worked in one period can behave differently when liquidity, prices or volatility change. An AI-assisted suggestion does not remove this uncertainty.
Follow the order through to settlement
An order, a filled trade, an open position and a settled result describe different stages. Check whether the order actually filled, the price and quantity executed, and whether the displayed result is realized or still depends on an open position.
The current PolyRust operations area separates positions, closed results and activity. Looking at these records together is more useful than judging the bot from an isolated wallet balance.
Before enabling automation
Review the selected strategy, its entry size, the assets it follows, available funds and applicable fees. Read how the controls behave when there are pending orders or open positions. A stop setting does not guarantee an exact exit price.
Use the recorded walkthrough to understand the interface. For current account preparation, assets and transfer instructions, follow the information shown in the app. Availability is subject to platform terms and regional restrictions.
